Golden City Leo Club Committee Elections Held, President Farid and Secretary Bithi
The committee election activities for the 25th-26th service year of Leo Club of Chittagong Golden City, sponsored by the Lions Club of Chittagong Dynamic City, District 315B4, Bangladesh, have been completed.
Recently, the club officers election of the Golden City Leo Club was held in a festive and informal atmosphere at the auditorium of a restaurant in GEC, Chittagong city through direct voting of the club members.
A total of 6 people contested for the 3 posts of President, Secretary, and Treasurer in the election held under the supervision of Leo Club Advisor and Election Committee Presiding Officer Lion Advocate Md. Nuruddin Arif Chowdhury and Leo Club Election Committee Chairman Leo Ashiqur Rahman and Co-Chairman Leo Mahi Bin Zaman. Among them, Leo Eng. Farid Uddin was elected as the president with the highest number of votes, Jannatul Nesa Bithi as the secretary and Awal Khan Shaheen as the treasurer. The committee announced Lion Advocate Nur Uddin Arif.
The presiding officers were also the region chairperson Lion Afroza Begum, region chairperson- Lion Abdul Mannan, zonal chairperson- Lion Munjurul Alam, newly elected president of Dynamic City Lions Club Lion Pulin Chanda Gharami Palash and secretary Advocate Md. Mokhlesur Rahman.
At this time, Leo Club Advisor Lion Advocate Nuruddin Arif Chowdhury said, "Everyone should unite in social service and come forward to the youth community. The participation of the youth community in practicing democracy will be helpful in building a future democratic country.
On the other hand Elected President Farid Uddin said, there is no specific president in the club, everyone in the club is the president, so everyone should play a role in social service as a president of the club, shoulder to shoulder."
Club members anointed the winners with floral greetings and the Election Commission Chairman announced the elected full committee for the 2025-26 service year. Those who were appointed to other positions in the committee are the newly elected former president Leo Sanjana Dil Afroz, Leo Amena Khatun as president advisor, Vice President Leo Tuhin Obi, Leo Md. Ariful Islam, etc.
