Operation Devil Hunt will be intensified from Monday evening, says Home Affairs Adviser Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury
Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday said the situation remains the same as before, with only minor incidents occurring.
"The law and order situation is very good, but no media ever reports that," Jahangir said while responding to journalists' questions following a core committee meeting in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs.The continued: "Measures are being taken to control the law and order situation through Operation Devil Hunt. The operation will be intensified from Monday evening."
Regarding the demand for his resignation, he said: "Leave resignation, some people have even performed my funeral prayers already."Due to the deteriorating law and order situation across the country, including Dhaka, students, various organizations, and the general public have demanded the home affairs adviser's resignation.
