Three people arrested in connection with the robbery and sexual abuse on moving buses
Three people have been arrested on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in connection with the sexual abuse of robbery and women passengers on a moving bus in Rajshahi. Tangail district police arrested them on Thursday night (February 26th). Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB)Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the information at around.
The police officer said three people were arrested within 24 hours of the case. Details of this will be given at a press conference at the police superintendent's office today.Police said three arrested were Muhith of Manikganj, Green of Shariatpur and Sharif of Dhaka. They are all active members of the interground robbery team. The three were arrested from Savar area of Dhaka last night.
Earlier on Monday night, the robbery and sexual abuse of women passengers took place on the Unique Road Royals bus from Gabtali in Dhaka. Three days later, a case was filed at Mirzapur police station in Tangail on Friday morning. The passenger of the bus, Omar Ali, filed the case with the accused of 5 to 5 people.
