Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pranay Verma highlighted the importance of the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector in Bangladesh’s socio-economic development and also in promoting closer supply and value chain linkages between India and Bangladesh.
He made the remark in an interactive session organised by Indian High Commission on Monday (February 3) with leading businesses and business chambers of the textile sector of Bangladesh.
The session was held in the context of the upcoming Bharat Tex 2025 to be held in New Delhi from February 14 to 17, a global textile event that will bring together important stakeholders from the textile industry and will encompass the entire textile value chain under one roof, said the release.
Verma highlighted the importance of the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector in Bangladesh’s socio-economic development and also in promoting closer supply and value chain linkages between India and Bangladesh.
