Earlier, on January 2, the EC had released a draft voter listThe Election Commission (EC) has released the final voter list for 2024, incorporating newly registered voters.Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin announced that the total number of voters now stands at 123,732,274.He disclosed the information on Sunday, at the inauguration of National Voter Day in front of the Election Building in Agargaon.
This year’s theme is "In our Bangladesh, we will vote together." To mark the occasion, the EC has organized a discussion session, while field-level offices will hold various programs ASM Humayun Kabir, director general of the NID registration division, said that National Voter Day is observed annually on March 2, when the final voter list is published.
Earlier, on January 2, the EC had released a draft voter list.The draft list included 1,833,352 new voters, bringing the total to 123,683,512.Among them, 63,330,103 are male voters, 60,352,415 are female voters, and 994 are hijra voters. EC officials noted that after reviewing claims and objections, the number of new voters could exceed two million.
