According to the fire service and local sources, the locals suddenly saw the fire in a settlement in the Balaghata Shailsova area, and the fire spread around the fire. Later, when locals informed the fire service, the fire service people went to the scene and brought the fire under control. It is initially believed that the fire started from the electric shortskit.
Bandarban Fire Service and Civil Defense Senior Station Officer Abdur Rauf said that five settlements were burnt in the fire. On receiving the news of the incident, the fire service people immediately went to the scene and brought the fire under control. The idea that the fire started from the shortskit of electricity and the loss of around Rs 1 lakh could be damaged. The officer said the details will be found on the investigation.
