Fakhrul urges govt to hold national election without delay
The BNP leader called for essential reforms and a clear electoral roadmap to guarantee a fair election process
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday urged the government to remove uncertainties surrounding the national election and hold it without delay.We want a quick election, we want to see a stable Bangladesh,” he said while speaking at a public rally in Laksam and Monohargonj upazilas of Comilla.
The BNP leader called for essential reforms and a clear electoral roadmap to guarantee a fair election process.Criticizing the Awami League, he said: "Over the past 15 years, the Awami League has undermined the integrity of the electoral system.BNP organized the rally as part of its initiative to implement the party’s 31-point state reform agenda, which was held at Laksam Stadium. BNP Central Industrial Affairs Secretary Abul Kalam presided over the event.
Senior BNP leaders, including Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Chairperson’s Adviser Monirul Haque Chowdhury, former Organizing Secretary and ex-MP Colonel (Retd) M Anwarul Azim.
