Chasing just 86 runs, Khulna Tigers lost captain and opening batter Mehidy Hasan Miraz for a three-ball duck in the first over of the innings to Rangpur Riders fast bowler Akif Javed.

Overcoming the early setback, Mehidy Hasan’s opening partner Mohammad Naim and number three batter Alex Ross safely navigated the Tigers past the finishing line by sharing an unbeaten 87-run partnership for the second wicket.

Ross chipped in with 29* runs from 27 balls with four elegant boundaries from his end, while Naim launched four huge sixes, including one to bring up the winning runs along with three additional boundaries.
