No deaths, 19 hospitalised with dengue fever in a day

As many as 19 new patients have been hospitalised with dengue fever while no fatalities were reported from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year has risen to 528.
The total number of deaths from the illness now stands at three.The Directorate General of Health Services, or DGHS, said as many as 11 new patients were hospitalised in the Dhaka metropolitan area until Friday.addition, three people were hospitalised in each of the Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, and one each in the Mymensingh and Khulna divisions.
As many as 334 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue in hospitals across the country. Of them, 180 are hospitalised in the capital and 154 are outside Dhaka.2024, a total of 101,214 patients were hospitalised due to dengue nationwide, with 575 fatalities reported.Since then, a record 321,179 dengue hospitalisations were logged in 2023. That year also saw the most deaths with 1,705.
